Entertainment For Your Work Christmas Events at Great British Speakers

11th Oct 2021

Last year even lockdown couldn’t dampen the Christmas Spirit as we all tried to celebrate with virtual Christmas celebrations! However this year, as businesses have re-opened, many are hoping to hold their Christmas events again in-person – and we couldn’t agree more!

So this year, we’re working alongside some of the most magical entertainers in the business, such as doctor-turned-mindreader and hypnotist Aaron Calvert. After swapping his stethoscope for the stage, Aaron now uses his charm and showmanship to fill theatres around the UK, on TV and at corporate events. This Christmas, Aaron is working alongside us to offer our clients something completely unique this festive season.

Events in the ‘New Normal’ – Post Lockdown Innovation for Opportunities & Growth

5th Mar 2021
Events in the new normal post covid world at Great british Speakers

The last year has seen our usual way of working drastically change, and in turn the way we socialise and communicate has also been affected. As we currently cannot hold corporate events in person, many of us have turned to virtual methods (thanks Zoom!) to stay connected with our teams and audiences.

This has led many of us to reflect and consider a ‘new normal‘ – a way of running corporate events remotely. And while we all wish to return to a pre-Covid event life soon, the reality is that virtual is here to stay for quite a while yet.

But could this be a good thing? How do virtual events compare to those in-person, and what benefits could they bring you, your employees and your business?

At Great British Speakers we’ve enrolled the help of some of the countries best Futurist keynote speakers, experts on future trends, economy, business and more. All of our speakers offer tailored talks to your audience on how to embrace this ‘new normal’, and to find opportunity and growth, both personally and professionally.

Here is a personal message from Great British Speakers director Jane Farnham

Here are the best Post COVID speakers around.

The future post COVID with Gerd Leonard

Gerd-Leonhard international futurist speaker availalble from Great British Speakers

We Are Not Going Back to Normal: Resilience, Agility and Creativity Will Beat Everything Else

As Gerd explains, the world is being painfully but irreversibly rebooted by the Covid19 crisis – and we are not going back to the way things were before, instead, we must embrace a ‘new normal’ and adapt.

This keynote (usually held remotely) addresses topics such as:

  • What have we learned from this crisis?
  • The economic and business impact: the future of jobs, work, commerce and trade
  • The geopolitical impact: Europe, the U.S. and China – new power structures? De-Globalisation?
  • The future of capitalism: stakeholder value over shareholder value: finally, sustainable capitalism?
  • The environmental impact: how will this crisis impact climate-change action? How real is the ‘end of oil’?
  • The impact on medical & healthcare: entering warp-drive
  • The societal impact: is technological domination and permanent surveillance next?
  • The personal impact: fears and hopes, solidarity vs. opportunism, resilience vs desperation
  • The impact on investing: where will the money go?
  • The impact on education, learning and universities (and leadership)

Below is an excerpt from one of Gerds virtual post COVID talks

Demarquette Chocolate Experience from Great British Speakers

AWARD WINNING MASTER CHOCOLATIER MARC DEMARQUETTE DOESN’T JUST LIVE AND TALK ABOUT THE SUBJECT, HE INVITES YOU TO GET INVOLVED IN HIS SENSORY AND INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCES.

Demarquette Chocolate Experience from Great British Speakers

With over 70 Gold awards under his belt and Category winner of several esteemed awards over the years, Marc and his chocolate business Demarquette Fine Chocolates have raised the bar higher and higher.

Marc is driven by results and no better way for him to demonstrate his excellence than winning awards for his creations and his clients. With this in mind, he has created a number of experiential concepts that enable you to understand what makes great chocolate!

There are presently three different experiences on offer:

Demarquette Chocolate Experience from Great British Speakers

CHOCOLATE – NATURE’S ORIGINAL PERFUMERY.

Drawing on the 350+ sensorial flavour compounds in chocolate, this event looks at the complexity of taste and smell. It explores the parallels of both the craftsmanship of Haute Perfumery and Haute Chocolaterie. This event is perfect for those who have an acute “pallet and nose”, for those who enjoy a more refined and educational angle.

THE CURIOSITY OF CHOCOLATE.

Demarquette is fortunate to stock rare and often unique products, which defy conventional ways of interpreting chocolate. This event looks at the variety of cacaos out there that the big brands have no access to due to their rarity. ’Curiosity of Chocolate’ reviews the art of chocolate making and how some results that are outside the norms are so tantalising. Here you’ll experience head-turning and lip-smacking creations that defy convention!

CHOCOLATE SPIRIT!

An event fuelled with passion and associations with the very best of pure alcohols from around the world. Parallels in craft and attention to detail are drawn and explored, but also how both the beverages and chocolates can complement each other. Marc peels away the layers of flavour and complexity to enjoy the symbiosis of chocolate and distilled alcohols.

Discover the world of chocolate spirit! Note that this event involves tasting alcohol!

With Chocolate!

Celebrity Corporate Cycle ride out with Great British Speakers

First of all, don’t worry – you don’t need to be a lycra clad missile to take part or be inspired by this day out! It’s very much inclusive whether you’re a commuter, cycle club member, or have to borrow a friends steed to join in.

In addition to the obvious tips and tricks you can pick up on a close up one-to-one basis, you’ll also get an inspiring Q+A or talk from the personality involved about what makes them a winner. Great take away advice that can be applied in all walks of life be it at work or home straight away.

You could be forgiven that you have to spend the time with a well-known cycling personality but that’s not the case. Many of our business and inspirational speakers are ardent cycling enthusiasts …so why not have someone like the amazing Phil Jones MBE a successful businessman that has risen from the ground up to MD and leader of one of the world’s leading electronics companies? He’s as enthusiastic about cycling as he is about leadership skills and mentoring, something that earned him his MBE!

Enter ‘The Success Factory’ of Graham Wilson

29th Jun 2020
Leadership workshop from The Success Factory at Great British Speakers

Described as the UK’s #1 Leadership Trainer, Graham has inspired over 65,000 people from nearly every major blue-chip company around to better results.

Graham Wilsons Success Factory Leadership workshops at Great British Speakers

So many organisations are struggling to deliver at the pace required in today’s fast-paced, complex and volatile world. Driven mostly by technological progress and global integration, the speed of everything is going up and up, and this is now demanding that we run organisations in a different way.

It’s like someone has changed the rules of how you thrive in business. The problem is that too many organisations are not agile enough and are over managed and under led. This leads to many people being unhappy in the workplace. People who are too stressed, really tired and overwhelmed to perform at their best. They are just surviving!

Added to this is the natural tendency of leaders starting to micromanaging, over directing, putting more controls, policies and procedures in place when the results don’t come in. Trust levels fall, complexity rises and performance dives. The tragedy is that the best people leave and the ones who need to go stay!

The Successfactory™ team of revolutionaries are here to support you in changing that.

There is a better way as these companies found out:

Coca Cola, Bentley, Crown Paints, B&Q, Samsung, Specsavers, O2, BUPA,BT, Airbus, Costa Coffee, Unilever, ASDA, Johnson & Johnson, DHL, Landrover, M&S, Santander, Boots, Kellogs, Barclays, Moneysupermarket, Vauxhall, KPMG, Dairy Crest, AEG, Bank of America, Office Depot, Frankie & Benny’s, Arcadia Group, BA, Arup, EON, Wickes, NHS, Tetra-Pak, and Fujitsu.

How do these Charity fundraisers work?

David Harper antiques expert presenter broadcaster host auctioneer at Great British Speakers

FOR VENUES:

For the likes of hotels hospitality venues there’s a great deal to be gained. Firstly, these events are usually scheduled in quiet diary windows so they fill your venue and keeps cash coming through the door when you most need it. Secondly, it gets you noticed – every new person through the door is another potential future event booker. Thirdly, It gains you PR by being involved with Charitable causes in the community both at a local and wider level.

FOR CHARITIES:

For Charities themselves, David more than covers his costs by using his auctioneering experience to leverage more profit for you out of the same event. As an extra bonus, David is also an accomplished artist in his own right and if you’ll allow him to bring along some pictures and they sell at your event he’ll deduct the sales value of those from his auctioneers’ fee!!! So in many cases, Davids increased value costs you absolutely nothing!

The Shine Trust was moved to say “Phenomenal! £240,000 raised and highly entertaining”

Let David tell you how they work…

Put simply it’s a win-win for all concerned, so what are you waiting for? Call us now on 01753 439289 to find out how auctioneering wizard David can transform your organisations’ fortunes.
