A Chat with Mandy Hickson – Motivational Female RAF Fighter Pilot.

27th Sep 2021

As a member of the Royal Airforce, Mandy Hickson was the only female pilot on the Front Line Tornado Squadron.

As a front line pilot, Mandy has navigated her way across some world’s most hostile environments, including patrolling the ‘No Fly’ zone over Iraq.  In charge of the latest weaponry, she and her unit were ready to drop ordnance on any target in support of operations.

Mandy now leads motivational keynote talks to businesses and leaders worldwide, sharing her experiences of working within an elite team of fast jet operators, to audiences with great clarity and humour, outlining how the same values apply within any environment.

As a keynote speaker, Mandy demonstrates only too well the importance of remaining calm under pressure and leading, quite literally, from the front, in order to get the best from herself and her team. You can read more about Mandy’s keynote talks here.

Here Great British Speakers’ director Jane Farnham had a chat with Mandy about her career as an RAF pilot and what makes her one of the most in-demand female Motivational Speakers in the UK.
